That Explains the Name

Have you ever wondered why dust bunnies are called dust bunnies instead of some other animal? It always seemed more likely to me for the bunnies to be called an animal who routinely lived in a persons home,but again what do I know? An Erie,Pennsylvania artist (who is oddly enough allergic only to dust) had previously made self portraits out of household dust until she was commissioned by Febreze Air Purifiers to make bunnies consisting of 40 pounds of dust,the amount an average American house collects in a year. It wasn't completely clear but I don't think the bunnies each weighed 40 pounds but the whole collection she made was from 40 pounds of dust. She also had to borrow dust from friends and other sources to come up with 40 pounds,so no need to think she was living in squalor!
