Some no good doctor is recommending not drinking coffee first thing in the morning. He explained that when a person first wakes up it is because of a cortisol spike so the caffeine fix should be postponed until mid morning when the cortisol begins to wear off. His other crackpot suggestions were not pressing the snooze button as that signals your brain to go into another sleep cycle which can cause all day drowsiness. His last suggestion is not checking your phone/computer first thing since that forces your brain from delta waves straight to alpha leaving a person on edge. On one hand I'm sure he has a point,on the other hand I've been doing it this way for so long and it's been working fine so far.
