We all know that squirrels are notorious hoarders but their hoarding is justified for them to make it through the winter as they don't hibernate but this squirrels went above and beyond a winter's supply. I'm pretty sure 42 gallons of black walnuts would be more than adequate so maybe he was laying in supplies for the entire squirrel community? At any rate he could have chosen a better spot to store his nuts but as in previous years he chose a pickup truck. The truck's owner is used to the drill and once the nuts are all off the tree he cleans out his truck which includes taking off the fenders and digging them out of the engine,he then gives them away to people in need. One would think the squirrel would find a more secure area since this isn't his first rodeo.
