That's Nuts

A Wisconsin man has turned his free service into a profitable business. When the black walnuts start dropping in the fall he goes around his town and several nearby areas to pick up the nuts that the tree owners find a nuisance as they ruin lawn mowers if they are mowed over and they can't be bothered to pick up the nuts. I know walnuts are not only messy but also they stain most everything they touch but I can't help but wonder if these people even know what they are giving away as most people enjoy nuts if not eaten plain then added to various recipes and since the price of nuts is up there with steak I'm thinking they may not know because when the nuts fall they are still in their green husk and the shell most people would recognize can't be seen. Oh well, their loss and this mans gain. After he stores them in his garage to dry he cracks them and removes the meat inside the shells and sell the nuts for $22 per pound. I can't help but wonder if some of his customers are the same ones who own some of the trees.
