There have been jokes about men not asking for directions about as long as there have been men. Today's blog should ease the pressure on the men somewhat...unless it was a man that programed this particular GPS.
In January of this year a 67 year old woman left home to pick up a friend at the train station less than 90 miles from her house. She was using her GPS for the trip. Two days and 900 miles later, plus reported missing by her son, she realized she was lost. (What was her first clue?) She crossed 5 international borders, saw road signs in 3 different languages, stopped for gas and took naps, but stated that she continued because she was distracted. I'm not sure if the moral is to not trust technology exclusively or if there are other factors at work here. I will leave that for everyone to decide on their own.
