Within the last couple of weeks I was involved in a conversation about tread designs on the soles of shoes. Everyone had a favorite design,my favorite tread had stars. Not long after that conversation I came across Atheist Shoes. A man that loved shoes and was always looking for the best in footwear was having coffee with an artist friend who had been painting T shapes onto shoes. He suggested the the T be extended into a crucifix and call them Christian shoes. Their next thought was to put water in the soles so the wearer could walk on water as Jesus had done. Neither of the friends felt good about that idea because of their non-beliefs, instead they came up with Atheist Shoes,which have the phrase "Ich bin Atheist" etched into the soles,so the no-believers can stamp out their non-belief everywhere they tread. Just when you thought you had heard it all!
