Other than people who love escargot most people don't care for slugs or snails especially if you happen to be a gardener,none the less they are kind of interesting little slime balls. Did you know slugs have both their anus and genitals on their heads? I suppose with that thought in mind I could have titled today's post "dickheads" just as easily,but no need to dwell on what ifs. The reason for this curious design is simple enough,slugs are closely related to snails and since the head is the only part that isn't enclosed in the shell,it was the only option for anus placement without the shell eventually filling up with snail poop! Speaking of snail poop,I wonder what that looks like? Another topic for another day!
