Over the years I've often wondered if dog hair could be made into yarn for making clothing but never thought to look it up since I never had a particularly hairy dog. However a 54 year old Leeds (UK) woman who has a Samoyed and a Keeshond had the same thought and began saving their shed hair after noticing a post on Facebook about a knitting expert who specializes in making keepsake pieces for pet owners from their pet's fur. The woman ended up with a five foot scarf and two keepsake dogs as remembrance pieces for the day her pets are no longer with her. The price seemed a little steep at $291 but I really don't know what hand knitted items sell for so it might be a bargain for all I know.
