Before I get started on the topic du jour I want to mention something that I see more and more of since the use of spell check has become widespread and that is using the wrong word/words. For instance on the News at Noon they had a piece about a baby being found along side the rode (road). Maybe some people don't feel compelled to read what is on the screen but I do and wish they would at least have someone give the headlines a quick proofreading.
A mail carrier in England left a note saying he had put the package through the open window,he then put another note on top of that note apologizing because he thought the package had landed in the toilet. When the customer came home he found the notes and the package, which was fine and had a good laugh over the whole deal. The Royal Mail had sent the man an apology on Twitter and it had gone viral giving thousands of people a good laugh.
