In honor of International Cat Day we will find out a few facts about cat's eyes and no,not the marble type of cat's eyes. Cat's eyes have a mirror like layer for reflecting light that allows them to see better in dim lighting but so do dogs,cattle,deer,ferrets and horses but none of these animal's eyes glow the same color when they reflect light. The color reflected has to do with the amount of pigment in the retina so even animals of the same breed can reflect different colors. I can't speak for everyone else but I never knew this and once I read about it I realized that it was true,theoretically a person could tell which animal was their by the color their eyes glowed in partial darkness. Who knew?
