In the past I have offered posts about poor name choices for businesses for example a local Ford dealer's last name is Gouge. Seems like a name change would act as a sales stimulus in that case but what about airline manufacturers? Sure Boeing and Douglas are fine but what about Boom? I don't think I would feel good about reading the safety guide in the pocket of an aircraft made by Boom. But wait,it gets worse! or maybe better depending on your view. Boom has just made a deal with American Airlines to build and deliver 20 supersonic jets by 2025. I'm all for faster travel though there are several problems to be worked out before these aircraft get off the ground,one being how they intend to cut emissions to achieve their goal of net zero carbon.
