We made it 13 days into the new year without a single Florida post,but we all knew it wouldn't last. Before I begin I want to point out that since the bridesmaid in question was already on probation it is likely that the bride was aware that there were problems. Everything was going according to plan until the cake ceremony at which time the bridesmaid drank an entire bottle of Fireball,became drunk 15-20 minutes later,stole the car keys from the grooms pocket and almost made a clean break except the groom managed to get in the passenger door and grab the emergency brake. She went back into the reception (again,why didn't someone shut her down?) and downed a bottle of Captain Morgan and struck the best man in the head. Finally the deputies were called. On the way to the station she beat her head on the divider then laid down on the seat and started twitching stating she was having an asthma attack so they changed course and took her to a hospital where she exposed herself to the deputies and assaulted the EMTs . She was finally charged with grand theft auto,two counts of battery,violation of parole and various other charges. She is being held on $25,000 bail.
