Stop me if I am wrong,but I am thinking this is more proof of the Pangaea theory. Zealandia is a nearly submerged continental fragment that sank after breaking away from Australia 60-85 million years ago and separating from Antarctica 85-130 million years ago. It may have been completely submerged 23 million years ago and is still 93% submerged.
