It never ceases to amaze me that there seems to be a competition or world record for nearly anything a person can think of. The International Grave Digging Championship event is only in its second year but had 11 two person teams all determined to dig the best grave in the shortest time using only shovels and picks. The finished product must be 5 feet deep,6.5 feet long and 3 feet wide and neatness counts too. The winning team this year were two brothers ages 43 and 41 who have been in the business for 15 years. They completed their grave in 54 minutes and though they had to focus on speed for this event they usually have time to chat and enjoy their work.
