Remember when seafood was considered healthy? Not so much anymore, first or at least I think it was first was the micro-plastics breaking down in waters then being consumed by the fish and wildlife, then or maybe around the same time alarming amounts of drugs started showing up in fish and seafood. The current water (sewage) treatment plants are not equipped to remove drugs from the mix,so anyone using any kind of drug whether prescription or street it ends up in the water and eventually the fish and wildlife then ending up full circle back in the humans. Fish in European streams have large amounts of meth, shrimp in the UK have trace amounts of cocaine and Puget Sound mussels test positive for opioids. Climate crisis isn't the only concern for our food chain, though it probably deserves top billing.
