Greed is a terrible thing, sometimes greed is dealt with in an appropriate smack down but other times it seems to go unpunished. I'm guessing it was a case of greed that made Colgate (of toothpaste fame)decide it would be profitable to break into the frozen dinner market in the 1980s. In the case of Colgate Beef Lasagna it was met with failure,I'm guessing people couldn't put the mint flavored toothpaste far enough out of their minds to even consider chowing down on Colgate dinners. They also offered a line of dried chicken and crab meat entrees in the 1960s which were also a fail. The thought of Colgate lasagna really is shudder worthy, though I've never had any frozen lasagna that tasted much like lasagna.
