Outside the Box

15 years ago a New Zealand man was making his will when he decided he wanted his coffin to be decorated with flames and from that thought an idea was born for making custom coffins. The people who decide on custom outerwear for their final send off are often remembered for their sense of humor and the funerals becomes more festive than the usual somber affair. One recent creation was a cream filled doughnut for his cousin who considered himself a cream filled doughnut connoisseur. He calls his business Dying Arts and the coffins sell for between $2,100-$5,400 and all but the doughnut have been biodegradable.
