To say our system is broken when it comes to criminals is a gross understatement. I hadn't looked into the actual statistics until the book I'm reading started every chapter with the amount of inmates in prison in different states and how many of those were repeat offenders. So far in most states the repeats are over 50% of the prison population. The regular readers among you know I like to do a dumb criminal post on occasion as they are so ridiculous that they are funny,but what the figures are telling me (supporting what the book said) the Justice system is in serious need of some attention and that is not in the least bit humorous. I am not sure of how to correct the situation,but surely our brilliant politicians whom we pay good money to deal with just this sort of thing can put together something less dangerous to the public and less expensive for the taxpayers...or maybe we need a good housecleaning?
