Steamed or Frosted?

I don't know if anyone else gets their tail in a knot when the news commandeers the TV schedule and then have nothing new or unusual to add,but it makes me see red. It isn't like "IF" they did have something important they couldn't interrupt whatever was on,or better yet run a crawl line at the bottom of the screen,but NO they have to take over the schedule and seldom,if ever is there anything worthy of the intrusion. Today it was a march in Portland that wasn't going to start until 1,but they ran the news from 12-1 instead of until 12:30. Another gripe about the news is they want to sensationalize all the terrible things that happen and I think by doing this they send a message to people that aren't quite mentally balanced that in order for them to be recognized in their dismal lives they have to do something monumentally horrible in order to claim their 15 minutes of fame. Then again,maybe it is just me and everyone else enjoys these intrusions.
Okay,better now I can feel the blood pressure returning to normal!
