Run Through the Jungle

"Run Through the Jungle" was written by John Fogerty ,American band Creedence Clearwater Revival's lead singer and guitarist and was released in April 1970. It is also the theme song of a friend's cat Clarence who has jungle flashbacks!
The Uakari (pronounced wakari) is a small species of monkey, native to the rainforest's of South America. The fur that covers the Uakari's body is long and coarse,it varies in color from red,to brown ,to black,to white, depending on the species. The hairless face of the Uakari is their most distinctive feature, and can be deep red or pink. The live in troops containing between 10-30 members or sometimes up to 100. Like many primates the Uakari is omnivorous, but eats primarily fruit, along with leaves and insects. When food in the trees is scarce they forage on the forest floor for seeds, roots and lizards. The Uakari has few predators with the biggest threat being Birds of Prey, also snakes and larger monkeys. Hunting by indigenous people and habitat loss to logging have created a decline in their population.
