Not many people like bruised bananas,but that is why someone came up with the idea or using the bruised fruits to make banana bread. That didn't stop the inventor of the banana suitcase. It was patented in 2003 the official name"Banana Protective Device",sounds like a condom for bananas. The device is a hinged,lockable (Does a person really need to lock up a single banana?) case shaped like a banana,it comes complete with ventilation,interior cushioning and is available in five colors. Other than bananas having their own protective covering (the peel) and the fact that not all bananas are the same size or shape,I don't see anything else wrong with this idea. Then the patent office wonders why thy are running out of money!
